S G & L Square Lift No 0 Tubular Railroad Lantern

Sold
Estate Sale Find (more photos below)
An Antique S G & L Co. Square Lift No. 0 kerosene lantern. It is 13" tall and 7" wide at the widest point.
This lantern was probably made between 1888 and 1897 prior to Dietz purchasing the Steam Gauge & Lantern Co. of Syracuse, N.Y. and Chicago, Ill..
The framework is square tubing. The chimney lifts by a tab at the top of the chimney cover. There is surface rust over entire lantern.
There is a dent on one side where the tubing joins with the reservoir and there is no burner.
Otherwise it looks be original, and the lantern shown is the lantern that will be shipped to you.
The chimney has no markings but judging from the imperfections and distortions in the glass it's old.
The edges of the glass globe are rough which is normal and there are no cracks.
