Gorgeous Vintage William L. Gilbert Mantle Clock 1807
Vintage Gilbert mantle clock. William L
Gilbert Clock Co, Winsted, Connecticut, USA.
Clock measures 20 3/4" long x 9 1/2" high x 4 1/2" deep.
The paper directions are on the back door. The front veneer is birds eye maple.
Has aluminum face with minor rubs, black hands and two key ports on the face.
Glass crystal in good condition, with brass bezel.
Comes with the weight/pendulum but I don't have the keys.
I used the key from my other mantle clock to check this one, it dongs and
ticks if kept totally level.
The main spring had been wound too tight and will have to be released before
this clock will keep time.
Minor delaminating on the very bottom of the back door and the walnut
veneer
on the lower right side is raised a little but not loose.
